Network Management

Network management is the operation, administration, and maintenance of a network in order to ensure security, performance, and reliability. Network management ensures a network is continuously running smoothly, identifying issues before users are affected. Network administrators must configure resources and provide support. They must also perform maintenance requirements, and track all necessary resources and how they are assigned.

There are countless functions associated with Network Management which include but are not limited to: controlling, planning, allocating, deploying, coordinating and monitoring resources and activities of a network.

Network Management has become a critical aspect or the IT team's function within today's organizations.
